The Wawbeek Store and Antiques has an old time atmosphere where the local Old Timers can be found hangin'out. It's a little General Store along with Antiques.
The original store was a wood building that still stood until the early 80's. The Red Block building used today was open until the middle 70's.
The original owner was Henry Miles; after Henry, his nephew, Miles Horn, ran the store. Then Rosco and Rebe Fore ran the store. Ms. Rebe will turn 100 in January of 2010. She can still tell you stories about the days of running the store when Wawbeek was a booming town with a hotel, sawmill and, of course, the store. The Wawbeek Store was re-opened on October 4, 2008
